SKS-46
Simonov's 1943 carbine: a wood-stocked semiautomatic firing 7.62x39mm Soviet from a ten-round internal magazine, fed by stripper clip. Converted from Weapon Law: Firearms ME 10 (book p. 35), with the weapon's own entry on the Master Weapons Table (book p. 134) RMUSimonov SKS-46: ME 10, breakage 6, reliability 75, fumble 4, hunting class I, 8.8 lbs, 10 rounds internal (Weapon Law: Firearms p. 134). The roll axis and column mapping follow the standing re-derivation recipe; the body armor columns are designed breaking-point curves, set for this caliber.
This is the first rifle-class table on the site, and the difference from a pistol is the whole point. Where the Glock 17 tops out at 22 hits against bare flesh, the SKS reaches 60 — and where a 9mm needs a near-perfect roll to trouble a vest, 7.62x39mm simply ignores soft armor: the BA I and BA II columns crit from the bottom of the table, because a concealable vest is not rated for rifle ball and never was. Only the hard plates — BA III, which exists for exactly this round, and BA IV above it — still hold a shot back.
Rolls below the lowest listed band miss. Attacks against Kindred use the Small matrix. Puncture criticals resolve on the Ballistic Puncture table (Hollowpoint and Armor Piercing per ammunition — and note that AP loadings in this caliber defeat hard plates too, where a pistol's never could). Which critical table a hit on body armor rolls on is decided by the ballistic body armor rules on Combat.
